The Annual Diocesan Appeal is an annual campaign of the Diocese of San Jose that supports ministries and services that serve all parishes and the local community. It also gives parishes the opportunity to raise significant funds by earning rebates over their own individual parish goal.
On December 9, the Diocese of San José, along with five other dioceses in California, received administrative subpoenas from the California Attorney General’s office requesting documents related to the mandatory reporting of allegations of sexual misconduct with minors by clergy and laypersons within the Diocese from 1996 to the present.
From Bishop Cantú — Public Health Officer of Santa Clara County has again requested that we make a number of temporary adaptations to our celebrations of the Eucharist, so as to foster the health of our worshipping communities and also of the wider community. Given the anticipated increase of the flu throughout the Diocese in upcoming weeks, I ask that these adaptations be implemented by the weekend of November 30/December 1 (1st Sunday of Advent).
