ENCOUNTER LENT
THROUGH CRS RICE BOWL - 2018
This year our parish will again be participating in CRS Rice Bowl. Join our parish community—and nearly 14,000 Catholic communities across the United States— in a life-changing journey of encounter with CRS Rice Bowl. It’s a Lenten program from Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to help us get more in touch with the hungry and needy of the world. Rice Bowls will be available after all the Masses this weekend, and will be available afterwards if you didn’t get one this weekend. We encourage you to use the rice bowl in your household to deepen your family’s Lenten experience and make a difference in the lives of the poor. We recommend you eat more frugally this Lent, and place the money you save by doing so in the rice bowl to be donated to the poor. Please read the foldout sheet inside the rice bowl to learn about the needy of the world, and consider making some of the recipes there on the Fridays of Lent.
Please remember to return your CRS Rice Bowl to the Parish Office or the baskets on the altar by March 19th.
