This is the feast day for our parish, and this year we have a very special celebration planned.
Tuesday, December 7
Vigil Celebration
6 PM Rosary Procession with the Statue of our Blessed Mother
6:30 PM Mass
7:15 PM Parish Potluck in Hofmann Center
Our parish is named St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, and this holy day is the feast day for our parish. The Immaculate Conception is a teaching of the Church that the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from original sin from the first instant of her existence. This dogma was made official by Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1854. In our parish, the Sisters of the Holy Names renew their vows on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The Sisters will be present at the 9:00 AM School Mass to celebrate the feast day of our parish and to renew their vows.
