Space can be reserved for approved St. Mary Church and School activities & events.
When reserving a room, here are the steps that must be followed:
1) Check the Parish Calendar for availability: http://stmaryslg.view-events.com
Check the month and day of the event you’d like to schedule; if you see something scheduled at/near the time you are looking to reserve, click the event to determine if there is a conflict with the room you’d like to reserve.
2) If all looks clear for your event, download and print out the Space Request (two sided), and completely fill it out. If additional time is needed for set-up and breakdown, note on the form. Otherwise, 30-minute set-up and breakdown will be assumed. Include the “person in charge” and contact info (email/phone number/extension). Then, drop off to the Parish Secretary or scan and email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
3) Please remember the importance of making sure any room you reserve/use is left in the same condition as when you arrived - this is the responsibility of the Event Coordinator whose group is using the space, not the staff contact; it is not the janitor’s job to clean up after your event. Tabletops/counters wiped down, tables and chairs returned to their original location, any trash disposed of, floors swept if necessary, etc.
If you reserve the Howley Hall kitchen: all countertops wiped down - no debris left in any sinks, and sinks wiped clean - no food/other remaining on the kitchen floor (there are cleaning supplies in the janitor’s closet, right outside the door leading to kitchen/gym) - ALL STOVES/BURNERS TURNED OFF (leave pilot light on) - close any windows you may have opened - lock doors - return any keys to the school/parish office.
In any room you use: if your event has created an abundance of “trash” and bins are full to overflowing, take the trash to the dumpster (next to Rectory garage), and re-line the trash cans.
